What is an Australian Adventure without being stung by a poison animal? Exactly - That’s why I was stung by a Cobbler in my right foot last wednesday. A Cobbler is a sort of catfish living close to seaweed and has a poison sting somewhere at its head. The impact of such a meeting is: extreme pain, which goes up to your hip. A foot which swells that you wanna cut it off. And you get morphines at hospital to relief the pain. That´s the only thing that really helps besides putting your foot into hot water to demolish the protein chaines of the poison. That´s fun!
Meanwhile four days have passed since the sneaky attack. My foot has massive blisters and to walk is still a torture. I´m curious what´ll happen. It´s a shame that we´ve got wind today. But my foot does not fit into the strap-pad-combi.
The ironie of the story is, that a couple of days before it happened I´d read in the local papers that there haven´t been caught any Cobbler for the last 10 years.
